at age 2, I was really into DC
I’m Carla, I’m 29ish years old and going nowhere.
I live by comic books, video games, some tattered remnants of self-determination and the love of a good man. I went to college at one point like you’re supposed to… and now I work at Metro Entertainment, Santa Barbara’s Only Comic Resource in order to gather enough funds to try and become a Real Live Adult. Also, I work there because I love comics.
Along with the funny books, I enjoy pro-wrestling, a fine sculpt on a Quicksilver action figure and the roll of a 20-sider more than shoes. By way of ‘qualifications’ (besides owning a computer), I have worked at two comic shops in my time, not to mention coming up on my seventh year working at Metro, contributed a weekly article to Blog@Newsarama called ‘the Fifth Color‘ until we moved to Comic Book Resources where I still put out the same column and can diagram out the Summers family within 3 minutes. I also hope add to the cacophony of comic blogs out there and maybe, just maybe, say something someone will listen to.
