Wolverine went up against all of the main heroes and kind of won, but never by making his opponents look like bitches or by making Wolverine look invincible, he always got the crap beaten out of him. They were writing some good, fun, albeit lowbrow stuff there. And even though you have one story arc where you had Superman and Batman tearing through like 30 villains, in one fight, in one issue . . . I guess it just didn't have the same impact because I wasn't as invested in any of the characters getting defeated, and hey. Superman and Batman. World's Finest Team. Yeah. I mean, I get the appeal. I was already angry how World War Hulk seemed to be a lot of the same no-selling nonsense, and to have Loeb pull it again and with characters I'm actually invested in is annoying. I agree.
