Okay, you’ve probably already seen it a dozen other places by now (CBR being one of them), but I just have to say…
This is a HELL of a lot better than the Greg Land fiasco.
Do you think we’re going ot have to shell out extra cash for this one or will it be 50/50? Ooh! What if this was the standard cover and the poor Greg Land fans had to spend the extra money on his cover?

I like it. And as superior as it is to Land’s, it’s still getting bashed with the same old, “Alex Ross lurves him some Silver Age!”
Well, Ross does! It’s a fact.
(though… it’s not all silver age in there. Mullet-Bishop FTW!)
Yeah, he does. It’s just kind of confusing. They say it like the picture sucks because he loves the Silver Age, not because there’s something wrong with the art. :/
Greg Land sucks because he traces.
Rob Liefield sucks because he has no grasp of anatomy.
Frank Cho sucks because his women all look like cheesecake pinups.
Alex Ross sucks . . . because he loves the Silver Age.
Maybe I’m a Skrull because I just don’t get it. :’(
Wellll… I’d say Greg Land sucks because he traces easily recognizable templates, carried over from project to project (and sometimes panel to panel) and this habit can be jarring to a reader who picks up more than one of his books (or just one! The Squadron Supreme fight anyone?). His line and form tend to veer off course when he’s not using one of these templates or at least are so unique that the story is confusing because the eye is so used to familiarity by now.
Off point. Anyhoo, welcome to the internet. People complain. =)
