DON’T READ IT!
I know there’s some Sentry Haters out there and this issue does NOTHING to help the distaste some have for the Golden Guardian of Good. Even I think he’s pretty lame after this issue.
Summed up in short: The Sentry goes to the moon to whine. A lot. Then the Inhumans show up, pretty irritated that he’s effectively on their lawn while Attilan’s “at war” with … well, America really. Earth as a whole are jerks, but the US took the Terrigen Mists Quicksilver “borrowed” in Son of M, so you can’t really say they’re mad at everyone.
They haul the Sentry in after an internally naratived battle that sounds more like it’s coming from a disillusioned fourteen year old than a superhero (”I could totally kick these guys’s butts… but I won’t.”) and pull exposition from his brain enough to make them forego the rest of the misunderstanding battle. They invite him to dinner, which he thinks sucks, then they invite him to stay the night. From irritable to friendly in two pages. Maybe they had a change of heart in the X-Men First Class preview. Anyhoo, Crystal revives her position as the “swinging chick of the Marvel Universe” as she finds out that she slept with the Sentry too. Iron Man barges in to break up the kiss to call the Sentry back to work.
Now, there’s a pretty good speech in here from Tony about what he wants to come out of all this Civil War stuff. I wish it had been given more time. I wish it hadn’t come at the end of the Sentry’s whine-fest. But as it’s trying to put Tony Stark in more of a “when all this is over” light, as someone who really is thinking of how this will all get better, I just wish they’d tried harder.
The Inhumans show up and shoo both of them off their lawn now and everyone watching IM and the Sentry fly off knowing they’re not prepared for what will come.
And that’s it. Just saved you $2.99 and a stomach ache. I’m going to go back to my lunch now.

New Avengers is my window onto the train wreck that is Civil War, so it’s kind of entertaining to keep reading it. Once CW finishes up, I might take my whole run of New Avengers and put it up on eBay, though.
Ouch that sounds pretty bad. I’m sorry The Sentry didn’t come off better. I’m kind of surprised that Iron Man would show up on the Moon, what with all the hostilties and all. I’m guessing the Inhumans didn’t get around to demanding their Terrigen Mists back?

[...] War event, this time covering The Sentry, who is basically Superman-in-the-Marvel-Universe. I think Carla’s assessment is about right - don’t bother. Of course, I feel that way about the Civil War [...]
