I bought Cable/Deadpool! It made me happy!
Maybe I should have bought Captain America instead of Heroes for Hire.
Captain America was pretty good. At first the mind control stuff made me go “Awwww,” but it’s Brubaker so we’ll see where he goes. His Cap run has been nigh-perfect.
It’s kind of crazy how the only reasonable depiction of Pro-Reg has been in Heroes for Hire #1. “It’s the law, and we don’t like it, but we have to follow it. We aren’t hunting down our friends, though, no matter what.” C/D comes close with its “It’s the only good thing I’ve ever been apart of,” I think, but even that is kind of tainted by self-interest.
